Universal mCloud and Cypress Envirosystems Sign Agreement to Initially Target Large Institutional Buildings in Canada Using AssetCare™ AI&A Cloud Solution April 15th 2018
VANCOUVER, April 10, 2018 /CNW/ - Universal mCloud Corp. (TSX-V: MCLD) ("mCloud" or the "Company"), a leading provider of Artificial Intelligence and Analytics (AI&A) and IoT-connected asset care technology, today announced that it has signed a partnership with a Silicon Valley-based Cypress Envirosystems Inc. (Cypress). Cypress' patented, non-invasive pneumatic-to-digital controller is the only technology available that effectively upgrades legacy non-digital energy control systems without significant disruption.
An estimated 70% of North America facilities are still using legacy pneumatic-based control systems, which prevents them from effectively using IoT based smart building solutions. The mCloud-Cypress combined offering will immediately enable powerful, IoT-cloud based smart-building monitoring solutions for the large legacy market.

North American Clean Energy — 24-Story Phoenix Building Wins BOMA Award for 98 Energy Star Score April 12th 2018
The BOMA Green Building Committee Kilowatt Krackdown was recently awarded to 3200 N. Central Avenue – a retrocommissioned, 24 stories, 345,000 SF building in Phoenix AZ built in 1986 – for achieving the highest Energy Star score of 98 in the competition.
.Tim Rose, Executive VP of DPC companies commented on the need for SMARTPneumatics technology. “Prior to the retrocommission, our heating and cooling expenses for the existing building were substantially higher what we felt they should be running for a building of this size and age. That, combined with numerous tenant complaints about cooling issues throughout the year, and the resulting tenant comfort work order requests made it clear to us that we needed to improve the building’s HVAC. We are very pleased with the upgrade and most importantly, our tenants couldn’t be more satisfied. The new controls were solely responsible for reducing the tenant cooling requests from an average 25 – 30 calls per day when we purchased the building to approximately 3 to 5 per week.”

Department of Citywide Administrative Services Commissioner Lisette Camilo announced the 50th installation of Wireless Pneumatic Thermostats, a sustainable technology that will save time, money and energy in older buildings. As part of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s goal to transform New York City’s municipal buildings for a low-carbon future, as outlined in One City, Built to Last, the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) has identified, tested and vetted this new innovative wireless digital thermostat.

Energy Manager Magazine – HSC Winnipeg expands its wireless pneumatic thermostat system June 30th 2017
For both patient comfort and energy conservation, Cypress Envirosystems reports a total of 1625 wireless pneumatic thermostats (WPTs) have been installed at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, controlling 780,000 sf throughout 12 buildings, including:
the General, Children’s and Rehabilitation hospitals, maintenance building, and a multi-purpose office building.The WPT system continues to expand to other buildings from its initial installation in 2010, and is being integrated with the Honeywell EBI Energy Management System.
“We’ve been using the [WPT] system for over six years. It gives us [direct digital control]-like visibility at the room level throughout our buildings with pneumatic control, and it increases our ability to ensure patients and staff are comfortable,” said Manny Bettencourt with HSC Maintenance Services.
